Transition 2 Opens. All competitors get body marked in T2. 6:15 AM, Transition 1 and Park Pool Opens. 6:30 AM Mandatory Pre Race meeting at Sunset Canyon Recreation Center (location of T1) 6:45 AM, Family Pool Opens for warm-up swim. 7:00 AM, Packet Pick-up ends. T1 closes. RACE START for first set of racers (Bibs 1-238). 7:30 AM, T1 re-opens for second set of racers (Bibs 239-500). 7:50 AM, T1 re-closes. RACE START for second wave. 8:15 AM T1 Closes to all Race Participants (All T1 gear will be brought down to expo area) 10:45 AM, Awards Ceremony Directions to the UCLA Campus parking kisok. You will pick up your number, receive your t-shirt, goodie bag, and your timing chip. Please try to pick up your race materials to avoid race morning rush of registration. Each participant must be present to pick up their packets. We will not give packets to anyone but the racer. This includes relays. Each member of the relay must be present or we can split up packets and give them out to individual participants. Race Rules: Failure to follow these rules will result in disqualification. No exceptions. 1. Racers must have their helmets on and clipped before the mount line. You may not mount your bike until after the mount line. Racers must have their helmets on until after the dismount line. You must dismount before the dismount line. 2. Drafting is illegal. 3. Absolutely no headphones at any point in the race (this includes the run). 4. Bib numbers must be visible on the bike and run legs. 5. Racers only are allowed in the transition areas. Race Day weather: There is a possibility of some rain but the race will proceed, rain or shine. A few other things: If you hear a whistle during the swim, this will only mean that lifeguards are performing a rescue. In the extremely rare event that this may happen, please clear the pool.
