Dear Participant, Thank you for registering for the 2009 IronBruin Triathlon. We are happy to announce that as of last week the race has been sold out. The race is just around the corner, so we wanted to share some important information with you. 1). Please go to www.ironbruin.com to get directions and parking information for the race. We also post all our updates on the site. 2). Pre-race packet pick-up will occur 1-5pm on Saturday at Triathlete Zombies (http://triathletezombies.com/ ) in Santa Monica. You will also be able to check-in on Sunday at the race expo on campus, but we highly recommend that you do check-in on Saturday at Triathlete Zombies. 3). March 8th is Daylight Savings. Please adjust your clocks. 4). Race day check-in begins at 5:30am. The race begins at 7am. The entire race morning schedule is now posted on our site, www.ironbruin.com. ----Once the race begins, you will not be able to drive into the parking structure. Please be sure to arrive well in advance of the race start. 5). This is a point-to-point race (there are two transitions). We will transport your T1 belongings to the finish line. To make sure that you do not lose your belongings, we will give you a bag tag with your race number to attach to your transition bag. It is your responsibility to make sure that all your belongings are in your T1 bag before you leave T1 to continue the race. We encourage you to bring your own bag. We will have bags in the event you need one. 6). The race will begin with a time-trial start. We will assign your start time based on the estimated swim time you provided in your registration. We will have your race start time at the pre-race and race-day packet pickups. 7). We are working hard to make IronBruin a GREEN event. Please help us by disposing of recyclables in the designated containers we will have at the race. 8). Every participant has to present a valid, state-issued ID at the time of packet pickup. ----If you are a college student, a valid student ID is required. ----If you are a UCLA member (student/faculty/alumni/staff), a valid UCLA ID is required. ----If you are a WCCTC athlete, a valid WCCTC number is required. 9). We have an amazing race-day EXPO planned for all participants. Please be sure to say hello to the many organizations that are supporting this event. 10). In addition to the great prizes awarded to top finishers, several additional prizes will be available for raffle! Be sure to purchase your tickets at the post-race expo and check out the prizes offered by our vendors.
